My name is Pete Dickson, owner of an active imagination and the desire to share my style of nonsense with the world.
I studied art & design at Barnstaple and South Bristol colleges back in the 90's and became a graphic designer within the print industry in the year 2000, where I stayed for the next 15 years.
Who am I?
The job had begun to feel increasingly creatively stifling and so when I was made redundant the time seemed right to finally listen to the encouragement and advice of my friends and family to "do something with your talent".
I've been drawing, painting and writing in my spare time since I was a child, with a particular interest in creating characters and the worlds they populate. My love of the surreal has probably tinged most of my work over the years and hopefully given it a unique 'flavour'.
I live in London with my wife and two daughters, and my interests include movies, computer games, comic books, board games and science fiction. I was a geek long before it became trendy.
I am available for commissions, collaborations and creations, and possess a wide range of artistic skills. Having worked as a graphic designer for so many years I am already well versed at working to briefs and deadlines, with the additional benefit of understanding how to prepare artwork in the correct formats.
I hope you've enjoyed what you've seen here.
A small peek into the 'Odd Corners' of my imagination.
